Lark Rise to Candleford

The Scene starts of after the introduction in a bank with six characters working in the bank, there class statues as suggested by their jobs and their clothing shows that they are the working class you can see that there working because one of the character walks in with a broom in her hand I think she is the lowest ranked class out of them all because of her clothes shows that her status is more down the ladder then the other working class characters. Two high classed women walk in with matching fancy dresses and hats with feathers in the colours of a dark shiny blue and orange, in a class up shot of the letter being rejected by the woman it shows a white glove that suggests that there are high classed person in society and also are quite wealthy.

You can see the woman who asks the higher class woman she should read the letter but is rejected, the other upper class woman then criticises her for meddling with other peoples life’s it shows that she is obviously the lower class because she was able to tell her what she have done was wrong and make her feel bad if it was a even higher class who made that same decision she wouldn’t of even of bothered to try and criticise them. Also who can tell that they are the working class and the others were the upper class because the working class people addressed them as Miss showing that they have more power than the working class people.

When it skips to outside and the old woman is sitting down washing potatoes and the old man is looking for his hen and it’s on top of the roof and Edmond decides to get the hen for him the mum tells him”Suppose you fall, we need your wages” this tells that they are poor working class family who struggle to fit into the society.
